Location: Greenville, South Carolina

Turner, Padget, Graham & Laney P.A. is South Carolina's fifth largest law firm, with 97 attorneys and a support staff of over 145 working in offices in Columbia, Charleston, Florence, Greenville, and Myrtle Beach.

Turner Padget is seeking a Patent Agent for the firm's Greenville office. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting with preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent applications; patentability searches and analyses; researching and analyzing patent, scientific, and technical documents; and organizing and maintaining patents, records, and other documents.

Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering is preferred; registered U.S. Patent Agent in good standing; and 3+ years patent prosecution experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Understanding of and ability to apply patent law principles and prosecution procedures; thorough working knowledge of claim drafting and patent application preparation; strong technical background; excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail; and self-starter with the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
