Patent Agent - King & Spalding

This position is responsible for managing many of the forms of intellectual property activities including work with both foreign and domestic patents. The ideal candidate will have both work experience and an educational background in Electrical Engineering.

Candidates will have the following responsibilities:

Organizes and maintains patents, other records and documents; keeps accurate time records.

Reviews and tracks all incoming letters from foreign associates.

Responds to letters from foreign associates which do not require substantive legal analysis.

Processes all responses to Official Actions from foreign associates and ensures that said responses are delivered to the foreign associates in a timely manner.

Prepares patent docket report for all clients.

Manages and administers patent filing system.

Creates draft reports from the patent database.

Sets up checklist and form files as directed.

Locates, confers with and works with other firm employees as requested.

Job Requirements:

Four year college degree and successful completion of the patent bar.

3+ years of experience as a Patent Agent
