Axial will transform current treatment paradigms by using its predictive tests to bring motion preserving technologies to the widest range of patients at the earliest appropriate stage.
DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will coordinate the efforts of company inventors and outside patent counsel in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications from initial inventor interview to issue, under the supervision of the Chief Scientific Officer, She/he will work with Axial scientists to identify and protect company intellectual property, and to evaluate and mange confidential documents related to our intellectual property portfolio. She/he will be expected to review current publications in light of Axial’s patent portfolio. For additional information about Axial’s research, please visit www.axialbiotech.com.
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Registered U.S. patent agent in good standing
Minimum of 2 years experience in an intellectual property law firm or corporate setting
Thorough, working knowledge of claim drafting and patent application preparation
Experience or educational background in genetics or disgnostics (technical knowledge of human molecular genetics strongly preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivation, ability to work effectively on a variety of active matters under tight deadlines, a high level of attention to detail
